The workers who build Black Rock City are no strangers to hardship. Many of us came to the dust as broken toys, finding both purpose and community in the unique challenges of our temporary city. In the crucible of the Black Rock Desert, we learned to trust in and depend on each other, and we feel a responsibility to help our community, now more than ever. 

We are creating a network of mutual aid, from emotional support to logistical and material help, drawing on the resourcefulness and compassion of our BRC Staff community. If there’s anything our summers together have taught us, it’s resilience in the face of utter disaster and chaos. If we ever needed a mob of unruly, inventive comrades we can trust to help us, it’s now.
